Diamondbacks at the plate: Johnny Estrada had two hits, including a solo homer, to extend his hitting streak to six games. Eric Byrnes hit a two-run single in the sixth.

Cubs at the plate: Aramis Ramirez hit his fifth spring homer, a three-run shot, in the first. Jacque Jones went 2-for-3, including a solo homer. Derrek Lee was 3-for-3.

Diamondbacks on the mound: Starter Orlando Hernandez gave up six runs (five earned) on nine hits and two walks over four innings. He struck out four.

Cubs on the mound: Jerome Williams, who has been switched from the rotation to long man in the 'pen, gave up one run on three hits and four walks over five innings. He struck out three. Rich Hill pitched two innings, and survived a line drive off his leg by Byrnes in the sixth.

Cactus League records: Diamondbacks 18-13; Cubs 15-12-2.

Up next: The Diamondbacks play the New York Yankees on Friday at Chase Field in Phoenix. Kevin Jarvis (3-0) will start for Arizona against Chien-Ming Wang. The Cubs travel to Las Vegas, and Sean Marshall will face the San Diego Padres. Marshall was named the fourth starter in the rotation. This will be his final tuneup.
