There's hardly a better way to honor Ron Santo's memory than to once again watch the film based on his life.
On Sunday afternoon, MLB Network held a special re-air of "This Old Cub," the 2004 documentary chronicling Santo's playing days and his battle with diabetes. MLB.com featured a live simulcast of the documentary.
The 15-season Major League veteran and longtime Cubs broadcaster died Friday because of complications from bladder cancer. He was 70.
According to the documentary's website, "This Old Cub" has raised more than half a million dollars in funding for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
The film -- which was written, co-produced and directed by Santo's son Jeff -- features Bill Murray, as well as a slew of Hall of Famers, like Ernie Banks and Billy Williams.
