CHICAGO -- Want to go to the Cubs Convention?
Weekend passes for the 22nd annual Cubs Convention will go on sale Monday at 10 a.m. CST. Passes will be available exclusively through www.cubs.com, or by calling Tickets.com at 1-800-THE-CUBS. Passes will cost $50 each plus convenience fees.
The annual fan fest will be held at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Ave., Jan. 19-21, 2007. The convention runs from 3-9 p.m. on Jan. 19; 9 a.m. to midnight on Jan. 20; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 21.
Included with each pass is access to all autograph and photo sessions, question and answer sessions and the memorabilia and vendor booths.
The 2006 Cubs Convention raised more than $400,000. Proceeds from the convention benefit Cubs Care, a fund of the McCormick Tribune Foundation. Since 1991, Cubs Care has granted more than $10 million to support youth sports, children with special needs and domestic violence shelters for women and children in Chicago. Social service agencies in the Lakeview area have also received grants from Cubs Care.
