Guzman struggles as Cubs fall

Cubs at the plate: Casey McGehee's three-run double in the ninth tied the game at 6. Matt Murton launched a long home run to left on the first pitch of the second inning from Javier Vazquez. It was Murton's third long ball of the spring. Derek Lee also singled home a run.

White Sox at the plate: Tadahito Iguchi, entering the game hitting .083, tripled home two runs off Cubs starter Angel Guzman in the second. Rob Mackowiak added four singles, including the game-winner in the ninth, and two runs scored, while Juan Uribe walked and singled home a run.

Cubs on the mound: Guzman, competing for the fifth starter's spot, gave up five runs on seven hits over 3 1/3 innings. He walked one and didn't strike out a White Sox hitter.

White Sox on the mound: Vazquez turned in a far stronger effort than his last start Sunday during a "B" game. The right-hander yielded three runs on five hits over 4 2/3 innings, striking out six and walking one.

Cactus League records: Cubs 8-7-1; White Sox 7-11.
