Kirk, 21, went the distance for his first complete game, and Peoria's first one-pitcher, nine-inning no-no since Mike Aspray in 1988. Nick Struck also no-hit Clinton in a rain-shortened, five-inning game on April 30, 2010.
Kirk gave up a leadoff walk in the first and a leadoff walk in the sixth. The runner in the first inning was erased on a double play.
A third-round pick in 2009, Kirk finished with a career-high 10 Ks. He got some help with solid defense, including a catch by Greg Rohan in the third and another by Matt Szczur in the fifth.
