Angels at the plate: Center fielder Torii Hunter continued his torrid hitting, doubling home a run in the second inning and crushing his first homer in an Angels uniform, a three-run blast to left-center, in the third against Kerry Wood. He's 4-for-4 in Cactus League play with five RBIs. Third baseman Chone Figgins had a perfect day at the plate with three singles.

Cubs at the plate: Designated hitter Jake Fox hit his first homer of the spring, a two-run shot to left in the sixth, after singling in his previous at-bat. Left fielder Matt Murton was perfect with three singles.

Angels on the mound: Right-hander Jered Weaver put his fastball in good locations and mixed in his offspeed stuff effectively in two scoreless innings in his spring debut. Right-hander Nick Green, ticketed for Triple-A Salt Lake, had two scoreless innings, yielding a pair of singles.

Cubs on the mound: Right-hander Jason Marquis got through the first inning before yielding two runs on two hits and a walk in the second. Right-hander Wood had a rough third inning, surrendering two singles, a Hunter home run and a double while giving up three runs.

Up next: Veteran right-hander Jon Garland makes his debut in an Angels uniform on Sunday when they travel to Maryvale Baseball Park to face the Brewers, who will start right-hander Carlos Villanueva. The Cubs play host to the Giants, with left-hander Ted Lilly making his spring debut against the Giants' Matt Cain.
