CHICAGO -- Cubs right fielder Jason Heyward won his fifth Rawlings National League Gold Glove Award on Tuesday.
Heyward, who also won the award in 2012 and from '14-16, is the second outfielder in Cubs franchise history to win multiple Gold Gloves, joining two-time winner Andre Dawson (1987 and '88). Bob Dernier is the only other Cubs outfielder to win the award, doing so in '84.
Heyward won over NL finalists Yasiel Puig of the Dodgers and Giancarlo Stanton of the Marlins. Heyward's .991 fielding percentage was the fourth highest among NL right fielders. Puig was second at .996 and Stanton was sixth at .988.
Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo and second baseman Ben Zobrist also were finalists for NL Gold Glove Awards at their positions, but did not win.
