Soriano now has 250 career stolen bases and 274 home runs, notching No. 274 in the first inning Sunday when he hit the first pitch from Milwaukee's Jeff Suppan over the center-field fence. It was Soriano's 51st career leadoff homer and second this year.
In the third, Soriano walked with one out and then stole second, his second steal of the season. He joins former Cubs Andre Dawson (438 home runs, 314 steals) and Ryne Sandberg (282 home runs, 344 steals) on the list.
Three active players have accomplished the 250-250 feat, including Carlos Beltran, Alex Rodriguez and Gary Sheffield.
