The Chicago Cubs today added right-handed pitcher Henry Rodriguez to the active roster after he was acquired on Tuesday from Washington for minor league right-handed pitcher Ian Dickson. In a corresponding roster move, left-handed pitcher Brooks Raley has been optioned to Triple-A Iowa.

Rodriguez, 26, will wear uniform number 62 and is available for tonight's game at Citi Field against the Mets.

Rodriguez went 0-1 with a 4.00 ERA (8 ER/18.0 IP) in 17 relief appearances with the Nationals this season. The righthander limited opponents to a .203 batting average against (14-for-69), including a .194 mark by righthanders and a .211 mark by lefthanders. Rodriguez was designated for assignment on June 4.

He set a career high with nine saves with the Nationals last season.
