The Chicago Cubs today activated right-handed pitcher Shawn Camp from the 15-day disabled list and placed outfielder David DeJesus on the 15-day disabled list with a right shoulder sprain.

Camp, 37, was placed on the disabled list on May 22 with a right big toe sprain. He made two minor league relief appearances with Single-A Kane County, tossing three scoreless innings, including 2.0 scoreless frames last night. Camp is 1-1 with a 7.56 ERA in 20 relief appearances with the Cubs this season.

The righthander joined the Cubs prior to the 2012 campaign and tied for the major league lead with 80 appearances last season, going 3-6 with two saves and a 3.59 ERA (31 ER/77.2 IP). He became the ninth pitcher in franchise history to reach the 80-appearance mark. Camp has spent all or part of 10 major league seasons with Kansas City (2004-05), Tampa Bay (2006-07), Toronto (2008-11) and the Cubs (2012-13).

DeJesus, 33, injured his right shoulder when crashing into the center field wall during the third inning of last night's game against the New York Mets at Citi Field. He is hitting .260 (52-for-200) with 15 doubles, two triples, six home runs and 21 RBI in 59 games with the Cubs this season.
