Cubs, Cubs Charities, Hohokams dedicate Friday's game to 100 Club of Arizona

MESA, AZ - The Chicago Cubs, Cubs Charities and the Mesa Hohokams are dedicating tomorrow's game to the 100 Club of Arizona. In connection with such dedication, the Mesa Hohokams will also donate all net proceeds from its 50/50 charity raffle sales during the game to the 100 Club of Arizona.   Within the last year, the state of Arizona area has been rocked by injuries and tragic deaths of public safety personnel, who were serving in the line of duty to protect the public.

The 100 Club of Arizona was formed to assist families of public safety officers and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the line of duty, and to provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare. The Chicago Cubs, Cubs Charities and Mesa Hohokams are proud to stand behind the men and women who stand behind the badge.

Prior to tomorrow's game, Julie Ann Ashcroft will throw a first pitch in honor of her husband Andrew Ashcroft and the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshot firefighters who tragically lost their lives battling a fire on June 30, 2013.
