Clark to make Spring debut in Mesa

After thawing out his paws following an unprecedented Chicago winter, Clark, the team's new mascot, will make his spring debut at Cubs Park in Mesa, March 24, 25 and 27. Clark will greet fans as they arrive at the ballpark for each game and spread cheer to fans at the Advocate Kids Zone. The Advocate Kids Zone is located just beyond the fan walkway in right center field.

"The debut of Cubs Park continues to be a great attraction for baseball fans and the arrival of Clark will add to the draw and excitement," said Cubs Senior Director of Marketing Alison Miller. "We're thrilled Clark will get to meet young Cubs fans from across the country and take in some baseball before the season starts."

While Clark prepares for his Major League debut at Wrigley Field, Friday, April 4, the Chicago Cubs and Jewel-Osco have partnered to launch "Clark's Crew," the Official Kids Club of the Cubs. The crew, presented by Jewel-Osco, allows kids ages 13 and under to join Clark for the 2014 season and enjoy a variety of benefits and experiences, including a Cubs replica Clark jersey and a fast pass for Kids-Run-the-Bases after Sunday home games. Fans who are interested in signing up their young Cubs fans can visit www.cubs.com/clark to see a full list of benefits and click "Join Clark's Crew."

"As we seek to provide more family-friendly entertainment and activities, we believe 'Clark's Crew' is a great opportunity to engage with the next generation of Cubs fans," added Miller.

CLARK'S GOING TO A BIRTHDAY PARTY… Prior to hopping on a plane to Mesa next week, Clark will join his other Chicago mascot brethren to help celebrate Benny the Bull's birthday when the Bulls host the 76ers, Saturday, March 22, at the United Center. Clark will make several appearances throughout the game and will participate in a special Mascot Madness competition at halftime.
