Worth noting: Zambrano was the third ace starter to make his way to Tucson to face the Rockies this spring, following Kansas City's Zack Greinke and Seattle's Felix Hernandez, who threw here on Sunday. The bus transporting the Cubs to Tucson broke down for 45 minutes on Monday about 80 miles away because of a broken hose clamp. The team arrived at about 11:40 MST, 80 minutes prior to game time. Batting practice was canceled.

Cactus League records: Cubs 8-5; Rockies 8-7

Up next: The Rockies play the White Sox at the Camelback Ranch complex on Tuesday. Aaron Cook will be starting against fellow righty Freddy Garcia. It's Cook's third start of the spring for Colorado. Thus far, he's allowed nine runs (five earned) on 11 hits in 5 2/3 innings for a 7.94 ERA. Cook will be followed by Corpus, Randy Flores and Franklin Morales.

The Cubs play the Rangers at HoHoKam Park at 3:05 CT on Tuesday before taking a day off on Wednesday. Carlos Silva will make his third spring start against right-hander Neftali Feliz. The right-handed Silva was encouraged after his last outing. Derrek Lee (bruised left foot) and Aramis Ramirez (sore right triceps) are not expected to start. The Cubs will use the DH, with Xavier Nady in that role.
